Sofia, the New Prague?

Prague, Czech Republic, is a very popular destination for holidaymakers from all around Europe who want to taste something different right on their doorstep and at an affordable price. Going to Prague for the weekend has become almost a trivial holiday nowadays. So many people go there it is almost inevitable to see someone you know at the Charles Bridge! As it is human nature to always look for the next big thing, or in this particular instance, the next big place, so let us think which one might this place be. How did Prague become popular in the first place? Well, no visas required (EU), cheap flights, cheap accommodation, cheap entertainment. Few other places fit this profile and one of them, which I might suggest will be the next big place for tourists is Sofia, Bulgaria! Since Bulgaria is part of the EU there are no visa restrictions for Europeans, the flights are very cheap with many companies operating flights to Sofia and for some the best part it is even cheaper than Prague!!! Sofia boasts an amazing nightlife. This enormous multicultural city is a city that never sleeps. You can find clubs working every night of the week, not only weekends. In most clubs, there is not a set time when the club closes, so you can stay all night and, if you have the strength, all morning! The food is also of good standard boasting a wide range of dishes to suit even the most capricious of tastes. A pint of beer costs less than £1 in 90% of restaurants and less than £2 in the other 10%. Food, accommodation and spirits are very cheap as well. Car rentals are even cheaper than us car rental. So do not waste any more time, book a trip to Sofia!
